Education Center, Vandenberg Air Force Base

Project Brief

This design-build project is for a new, 38,384 square foot Education Center building. The building is an integral structure that supports the academic and professional development of officers, airmen, and DOD civilian employees in support of Air Force and DOD goals. The building includes prewired administrative space for the center and five colleges, lecture classrooms, an auditorium equipped with computer LAN connectivity, distance learning classrooms with tele-video satellite feeds, computer-science and engineering laboratories, testing rooms, student and administrative break rooms, video conferencing classroom, learning resource center, storage, and bathrooms.

Commissioning of the HVAC systems included boilers, chillers, variable air volume air handlers, exhaust and supply fans, and DDC controls system. Lighting controls and water heater systems were also commissioned.
